Looking to boost your e-commerce sales?
Not seeing the results you want with your current marketing strategies?
It's frustrating when your business isn't reaching its full potential. But what if there was a simple and cost-effective way to increase your sales?
That's where email marketing comes in. By creating an effective email marketing launch sequence, you can maximise the chances your new product will be a success.
And the best part? It's easier than you might think.
In this blog post, I'll share my go-to email marketing launch sequence that i've used to help clients generate hundreds of thousands of pounds in revenue.
Ready? Let's go!
Email 01: The Teaser Email
Send 7-10 days before launch.
The first email is a teaser email that creates an initial touchpoint or generates interest in a new product. This email only slightly shows the new design to create a bit of mystery and excitement for the launch.
Email 02: The Announcement Email
Send 4-6 days before launch.
The second email is an announcement email that reveals the full collection, showing key features but not explaining too much. I often include a CTA to save the date, so people know when the collection is going to launch.
Email 03: The Explanation Email
Send 2-3 Days before launch.
The third email explains the meaning or purpose behind the new collection, showing every product individually to give customers a better understanding of what the collection offers and why they should be excited about it.
Email 04: The Day Before Launch Email
Send 1 day before launch.
The fourth email is a reminder email that goes out the day before the launch to remind customers of the new launch coming tomorrow at a specific time. It's a great way to generate excitement and make sure people don't forget about the launch.
Email 05: The Launch Email
Send the day of launch (morning ideally).
The fifth email is the launch email, and it's all about the call to action. I make sure that the CTA is front and center to drive sales and make the launch a success.
Email 06: The Post-Launch Email
Send 3-5 days after launch.
Finally, I send a post-launch email 3-5 days after the launch to remind people about the launch and include user-generated content or testimonials to keep the excitement going.
Great! What's Next?
By implementing an effective email marketing launch sequence, you will no doubt increase your e-commerce sales.
Remember - It's not just about sending out mass emails. It's about building relationships with your customers and creating targeted campaigns that speak to their needs and interests. Therefore, for this sequence to be effective, you need to make sure you are sending out regular emails focused on nurturing and building relationships (at least once a week).
