Hi, I'm Jack Willoughby
I build brands that change how people buy, trust and choose.
Head of Brand & Marketing @ Xpert Workwear. Nearly a decade building brands and the commercial systems behind them across B2B, DTC, wholesale and ecommerce — in-house, as a consultant and as a founder. Long-term brand building, positioning, performance marketing and commercial growth. MSc Marketing. MCIM.

I started my career in fitness, where I learned that people rarely buy the thing itself. They buy the shift it represents: confidence, progress, identity, status, belonging, or relief from a problem they have carried for too long.
That lesson became the foundation of how I think about brand. The best marketing does not just make something visible. It changes how people understand it, value it and choose it.
The penny dropped while I was selling gym memberships. People were not really buying the offer, the package or the discount. They were buying a version of themselves they wanted to become. Once I saw that, I started seeing the same pattern everywhere: in clothing, workwear, ecommerce, B2B, and the way businesses position themselves.
Motivation is short term. Perception is more durable. Change how someone sees something and you change how they understand it, talk about it, act on it and choose it. That is the work I have built my career around.
That thread has shaped most of my work: building brands, sharpening positioning, creating growth systems, improving customer journeys and making marketing more useful inside a business.
Since then, I’ve built and scaled brands across workwear, streetwear, fitness, and ecommerce. I’ve worked as a founder, consultant and in-house marketing leader, building brand strategy, channel infrastructure, campaigns, teams and operating rhythms behind commercial growth.
Away from work, I’m a proud dad and I write about brand, perception and the reality of building something that matters. I care about the standard of the work, but also about making marketing useful, commercially relevant and honest.
If that sounds like the kind of work you are trying to do, we will probably have a useful conversation.
