01 / THE BRIEF
The brief
A quarterly trade update has several jobs: introduce new products, explain seasonal campaigns and give partners a reason to keep reading. The Q4 issue brings those different kinds of information together in one 28-page publication.
02 / THE IDEA
The editorial idea
Use the rhythm of a magazine to connect the commercial and human sides of the brand. Clear campaign openers and product detail sit alongside the Rooted interview series and Xpert Foundation reporting.
03 / THE BUILD
The publication system
A repeatable publication system built from strong opening images, direct headlines, product-and-price layouts and longer editorial spreads. The opening contents spread helps partners find what matters, while a consistent grid keeps very different material part of the same issue.
04 / THE SCOPE
What went into it.
- 01
The quarterly structure
A clear route through the issue: the Give the Gift of Xpert campaign, personalised workwear, winter deals, product launches, Rooted and Foundation stories.
- 02
Commercial clarity
Campaign pages connect the offer to packaging, display support and the next step. Product pages use a consistent hierarchy for the photograph, features and ordering information.
- 03
Space for people
The Neal Reid interview receives a dedicated opening page and an editorial page. Community reporting uses the same typography and structure with a different pace.
- 04
A connected publication
Contents, page references, contact details and the closing partner-community invitation link the reading experience back to the wider Xpert relationship.
